Leila Monadi - Oasis Garden

There were several points to consider in this project. Firstly, about the trees, we had to keep them all at their prior place. Secondly, a swimming pool according to the garden's water share in each month was demanded. And finally, a studio flat with less than 45 square meters was allowed to be built in this garden.

The garden was supposed to be used by various types of people at any time. Enough parking space were necessary and also a salon for small parties was needed. Several zones have been designed in this project, and in addition a temporary volleyball court placed there too. Presumably, at the near future a larger building would be built in this space.

Swimming Pool

As mentioned before, dimensions chosen according the garden's water share. Pool Has a rectangular shaped swimming part with the height of 120cm (non swimmers could use the pool too), a square shaped siting area with a table in the water, and a sunbathing square part again in the water with very low height which could be used by children as well. Three separate entries were designed in each part. A wide shimmering waterfall has placed at one side to fill the pool up and also to create a magical sound and feel of a waterfall.

Around The Pool

Next to the swimming pool, a small bar with a counter has been designed. Also, a tiny BBQ placed in one side of it for cooking. People could use the bar while standing next to it, or some others could seat on the wide benches next to the pool.

A small open planed shower placed close to the pool, yet a private bathroom was available in the building. Behind the shower, a changing room with bench and cloth hangers was provided. Built in lights were placed all around the pool and also inside it, to brighten it up, and make this zone useable for night times.

As seen in the photos, wood, broken flagstone and concrete were the main materials used in this project. Also, concrete bricks, concrete tiles, mosaic and granite stone which were used elsewhere.

Fire Place

For protecting fire and give a safer feel to seat around it, fireplace was built in a lower-level ground. U-shaped seat provided a large number of spaces to sit and also acting like a border between fire flames and the trees. Continues wooden line attached all around the seats, which has a hidden light under it to bright the area when the fire is off.

BBQ

Three barbeques were provided in this garden, which more people in each zone could use them for cooking at the same time. The smallest one placed next to the pool, the medium one placed in the building's balcony, and the largest one as seen here, just next to the garden's main pergola. It has storage cavities, stone bench and a wide standing table.

Façade

Volumetric rustic style was used throughout the garden, and visual contrast was achieved by materials with different textures.

Building Interior

As mentioned before, small area was allowed to be build-in this garden, but expectations were a lot. Hall with full and wide view of trees, Kitchen of sufficient size, bathroom and storage room with suitable size, spacious balcony, all embed in 42 square meters. Rustic interior designed performed in coordination with the exterior design.

Dark gray color was used for more visual contrast and also coziness. Wood burning fireplace in the corner complete the rustic look of the room. Kitchen next to the entrance with maximum day light usage due to its windows, worked in gray and white colors to comply with green color of the trees seen from outside.
