The aim was preparing a limited space for different kind of activities, and for various types of people. Welcoming area, small bar, seats for gathering, dining area for over eight people, tv room, relaxing area and a spacious kitchen were needed.
It was desired to be a cozy interior, yet being practical when numerus guests are around.
Welcoming Area
The function of this zone was to serve drinks and welcome a group of guests. The reason to choose this part, was to keep the area separate from the other parts, and also people were closest to the exit door for getting out to smoke.
Sometimes when no guests around, the host could use this place for relaxing, reading books or wearing shoes while seated on the bench.
The bar itself is very small, yet by framed square mirror, and square cement tiles on the corner, looks more spacious and attractive.
Relaxing Area
As the title says, this part is considered for host to relax while enjoying from spotless view of the garden. Small side table next to the rocking chair, made it possible to drink a cup of coffee, have a snack or read a book. Decorative lights and the standing lampshade, provide romantic scene at night time. There is divider in this part to separate the area from the entrance and also to give a private and secure feel.
Divider is functioning as a shoe cabinet from the back side.
Show rack and cloth's hanger
Dining Area
Dining table for ten people placed in this part, parallel to the angular wall, to follow the original shape of the room, to be close to the window for natural light usage, to be near the kitchen, and also to have more passing space around. Fourteen persons could eat at the same time with comfort in this area. (10 at the dining table plus 4 in the kitchen).
This area must be flexible for moving around the chairs and the table for party time, and that's why there is no rug underneath the table.
Tv-Room / Living Area
By placing three sofas around the coffee table, this area has separated from other parts in a way, and a tv-room is created without walls.
This part has its own privacy as well as profit from the natural daylight. Gray color on one wall and the textured brick on the other, made a great eye-catching contrast, and feels like a whole room around. Warm red leather sofas, invites people in and make this part distinct from the others. Tv unit lines are designed to be an active in shape, and easy for eyes.
Kitchen Area
The kitchen installations were placed in an odd-shaped corner of the room. Repositioning them were not requested due to the extra cost. Therefore, kitchen design fitted perfectly in the place to balance the look and moreover being stylish. Walnut wooden color next to the charcoal gray, plus a touch of white marble, brought this posh and elegant kitchen to life. kitchen island could be used as a dining table for 4people, as well as preparation surface.
All Together
Happy family is what we aim for at interior design projects. All areas must function perfectly on their own, as well as working better next to each other. It is essential that whole place looks good together. All areas, all colors and materials, and also all furniture must look good together and act like a happy family, which is approached in this interior design project.
