Leila Monadi - Dallin Garden

In this project 10x13.5 meters square area was available to be built in a villa. Two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a big kitchen, a storage room and a big salon suitable for having a party, were arranged all in its floor plan.

Space Management

The garden has divided to different parts due to variety of activities taking place, such as forest part for walking, fireplace part for gathering around fire, tennis court to do sport, watchman cabana for garden's guard living, spacious pergola part for gathering, swimming pool area for relaxing, eating and swimming, car park space and the villa part itself. All parts arranged in order to have access from necessary areas and be close to other relevant parts. Guard's cabana is placed at the main entrance, and the villa is place on the other side.

Entrance And Exit

There are two entrances to the house-garden. The villa is placed at the opposite side of the main entrance, for less street noise and privacy. A group of trees placed in front of the main entrance to cover the straight sight of the private parts of the garden, although a wide pass is considered for cars to enter and pass the exciting road besides the trees and reach the building part. The second entrance is from the small back lane and is used only by the garden owner. It is very practical for easy access to the villa and swimming pool area.

Façade

Dallin is located in a place where the temperature differs a lot from day to night and there is plenty of rain, therefor sloping roof covered with PVC roof-tiles was the best choice for it. Material selected for this weather, should've been resistance to the humid and the sun. Thermo-wood and micro-cement were my elections. To have coziness and modernity together, I have tried to keep the wooden-cottage look in completion and integration with urban cement style on the façade. Moving active design lines, are forcing the eyes to follow them and look all around the building.

Swimming Pool Area

Dimensions were chosen due to amount of water share for the garden. The pool was divided to two parts, one for swimming and the other part with entry steps, for socializing, eating and drinking in the water. Pool equipped with a water heater system, that could to be useful in cold. A curved wooden bench placed next to the pool for placing towels and bags, or to seat and talk with those in the water. A mobile table could be place in front of the bench for catering. There is a short passage from the pool to the guest's bathroom which was located just behind the entrance door.

Waterfall And Relaxing

There is an open area next to the villa window-door opening for placing chairs or sunbeds. Small waterfalls in the pool create cheerful sound to here, and besides watching the waterflow with small waves, please the eyes.

The view from inside is adorable as the swimming pool is located in front of the windows and trees are placed artistically at the background. There is a special place located at the other side for barbeque and cook food, which can be find in the upcoming pictures further below.

Night Lights

Active designed lines used for lighting to illuminate the passages at night and also to give eye catching pleasure to the viewer. Continues light lines with sufficient amount of brightness, kept the area calm and relaxed. There are also some lightings placed in the interior body of the swimming pool to light it up for swimming. In addition, several built in lights placed all around the pool for a safe walk at night.

The light lines are also spread all around the garden at the hidden edges of flower boxes.
